L2TP Mac OS Yosemite Setup Guide


The following guide outlines the steps necessary to install & configure Boxvpn using L2TP on your Mac OS Yosemite computer:

 



1.   Access your computer's Network Preferences:




2.    Click the "+" on the Network window:




3.    Set the "Interface" option to VPN, "VPN Type" to L2TP over IPSec, and enter the service name you wish to use (Ie. BoxPN L2TP).  Click "Create" to save the information you entered:




4.    The new service you added will now appear in the network services list:




5.     Select "Add Configuration" from the drop-down menu beside "Configuration" to add each BoxPN server location you would like to connect to:




6.     Select a Name for the configuration you are adding (IE. Germany), enter the server address from the list here - BoxPN Server Information, and your BoxPN Username.


7.    Select "Authentication Settings"; and enter your BoxPN account password in the "Password" field, and enter " s3CuREpaSs412" in the Shared Secret field, and click "OK":




8.    Click "Connect" to initiate your connection to the BoxPN server / location of your choice:



Once the connection has been made between your computer and the BoxPN servers; you will see information regarding the connection time, IP address, and information regarding data being transmitted.  To end your connection, simply click on "Disconnect":



Your connection is now successful; and all of your online activities are 100% secure and anonymous while connected to BoxPN.
